Formward vs other form backends and builders
Find the right home for your forms. Compare data residency, ownership and the way each tool fits your workflow.
How we compare
Plenty of tools will collect a form submission and email it to you, and most do it well. Where Formward differs is jurisdiction: Formward stores and processes submissions in Sweden, sends notification email through an EU provider, and lists every sub-processor in its register. The one optional non-EU sub-processor is Cloudflare Turnstile, used only on forms that switch it on. Each comparison was checked against the other vendor's own website on the date shown, with the sources listed, and says plainly where the other tool is the better choice.
Form backends
Services that receive submissions from a form you build yourself. Switching is usually a change of action URL.

What we will not do
We will not invent competitor weaknesses, quote a competitor price without a source and a date, or claim features we have not shipped. If a tool does something well, we will say so. The honest pitch is simple: if EU data residency and GDPR-clean defaults matter to you, Formward is built around exactly that.
