Formward vs Getform
Getform is a capable form backend with a broad feature set. For EU teams, the question that usually settles the choice is where the data lives. Formward is hosted in Sweden, keeps every form-submission sub-processor in the EU, and is built so your form-submission data never leaves the EU/EEA (billing runs through Stripe, which never sees form data). We describe Getform at a high level here, because their specifics change; the numbers below are ours and current.
Where Formward stands apart
- EU data residency. Hosted in Sweden, in EU data centres, with no non-EU infrastructure for personal data.
- EU-only sub-processors. Every third party that touches form-submission data is in the EU, documented in our Privacy Policy, with a DPA on request. (Billing is handled by Stripe, which never receives form data.)
- Privacy by default. Submitter IPs are hashed (SHA-256) on receipt, and optional AI processing stays within the EU.
- Framework-agnostic. A plain HTML form endpoint that works with any stack, no SDK required.

- Can I move from Getform to Formward?
- Yes. Formward provides a standard HTML form endpoint, so you point your form's action attribute at a Formward URL. It is framework-agnostic with no SDK to install.
- What is the difference from Getform?
- Formward's defining property is EU data residency. We host in Sweden, keep every form-submission sub-processor in the EU, and have designed the Service so your form-submission data never leaves the EU/EEA. (Billing is handled by Stripe, as with most EU SaaS, and Stripe never receives form data.) If your priority is a clean GDPR posture, that is the deciding factor.
- How much does Formward cost?
- Formward starts free with 50 submissions per month, then EUR 15/month for Personal, EUR 30/month for Professional, and EUR 90/month for Business. Yearly billing is cheaper per month.
