Formward vs Getform (now Forminit)
Getform became Forminit on 14 January 2026. The same team runs it, from UXPLUS LTD in London, and old getform.io endpoints keep working. It is a capable form backend with file uploads on every plan and a choice of CAPTCHA providers.
Forminit hosts on the EU regions of Amazon Web Services, so for many teams storage location is already covered. The differences with Formward are the operator (a UK company against a Swedish one), the hosting provider, and pricing in dollars against euros.

Getform
- Free: $0, 100 submissions a month, 1 form, 100 MB storage.
- Pro: $16 a month billed yearly ($190), 5,000 submissions, 10 forms, 1 GB.
- Business: $50 a month billed yearly ($594), 50,000 submissions, unlimited forms, 10 GB.
- At high volume Forminit is cheaper: its Business plan includes 50,000 submissions, against 20,000 on Formward Business at EUR 60 a month billed yearly.

EU, GDPR and data location
Forminit says its application and data servers are in the EU regions of AWS, and the operator is a UK company. The UK has an EU adequacy decision; AWS is a US-owned provider, which some DPOs weigh separately from server location.
Formward stores and processes form submissions in the EU: the application and database run at Hostup AB in Sweden, notification email goes out through Mailjet in the EU, and AI features on Professional and Business use Mistral AI in France. One optional sub-processor is outside the EU: Cloudflare Turnstile (US), which only sees the anti-bot challenge and only on forms where you enable it. Data leaves the EU when you send it there yourself, for example to a notification mailbox hosted by a US provider, a Google Sheets sync or a webhook URL.

- Replace the forminit.com or getform.io URL in the form's action.
- Set the success redirect on the Formward form, or add a hidden _redirect field.
- Add your site's origin to the allowed origins and test.
- Export past submissions as CSV and import them. Original dates are kept from a column named Submitted At, created_at or createdAt; otherwise rows are dated at import time.

Choose Getform for
- High-volume forms where price per submission matters most.
- File uploads on a free plan.
- A choice of CAPTCHA providers.
Where Formward is not the best fit
- The Free plan takes 50 submissions a month and keeps them for 30 days, and file uploads start on the Professional plan.
- Formward is a form backend with hosted form pages, not a survey tool. For long surveys with many branches, a dedicated survey builder may suit you better.
- Formward is a young company. Judge its reliability yourself on the status page and in the changelog.

- Yes, under a new name. Getform became Forminit on 14 January 2026, run by the same team, and existing getform.io endpoints keep working.
- Can I move my Getform history?
- Yes. Export your submissions as CSV and use Formward's importer, which keeps the original dates from a column named Submitted At, created_at or createdAt and dates other rows at import time.
- Is there a Data Processing Agreement?
- Yes. Formward's DPA is published in full at formward.eu/dpa and you accept it in the dashboard, which records the version and the time. The current sub-processors, with location and purpose, are listed at formward.eu/compliance/subprocessors.
- How much does Formward cost?
- Formward has a free plan with 50 submissions a month. Paid plans are EUR 15 a month (Personal, 200 submissions), EUR 30 (Professional, 2,000) and EUR 90 (Business, 20,000). Paying yearly brings those down to EUR 10, 20 and 60 a month.
