What we shipped

Every notable change to Formward, newest first.

v2.5

14-day free trial, six European landing pages & honest transfer documentation

  • 14-day free trial on your first paid subscription. A card is required and the subscription renews automatically when the trial ends, so there is no interruption - cancel any time before then and you are not charged.
  • Localized landing pages for German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch and Swedish, each written for the national framing of the GDPR (DSGVO, RGPD, AVG) rather than translated word for word.
  • Data flow: the notification and autoresponder rows now say plainly that we send from EU infrastructure but cannot tell where the mailbox itself is hosted - a Gmail or Outlook address means a US provider. Previously both were labelled EU-only, which was wrong for anyone notifying a non-EU mailbox.
  • Data flow: webhooks that are switched off, or that belong to a plan without the webhooks entitlement, are no longer listed as active destinations. They were being counted against the EU-only summary for deliveries that never happen.
  • Transfer documentation rewritten across the site, including the transfer-impact statement, the Article 30 record, Security, Terms and every comparison page. Claims about where data goes are now scoped to Formward's own processing, and the destinations you control - notification mailbox, autoresponder, Sheets sync, webhooks - are named explicitly as yours to assess.
  • Enterprise and SSO now have a public page, and llms.txt is generated from live product facts so AI assistants answer questions about Formward from current information.
  • Metricward, our sister product for privacy-first product analytics, is now listed on the home page.
v2.4

Multiple webhooks, reply from the dashboard & verification fixes

  • Multiple webhooks per form: send each submission to several endpoints independently, each with its own type (generic, Slack, Discord, Teams, Mattermost), signing secret, delivery log and retries.
  • Reply to a submitter directly from the dashboard - the reply goes out from your notification address, with suppression and privacy rules applied.
  • Delete a form and everything attached to it from Settings, with a type-to-confirm step.
  • Verification links now survive email security scanners. Providers that open links in the background no longer consume the link before you click it, which previously showed a false 'verification failed' page.
  • Clicking a verification link now shows a clear confirmation (or a specific error) in the dashboard instead of leaving you guessing.
  • Fixed a display bug where organisation members saw 'this address hasn't confirmed' on a form whose notification email was in fact verified.
  • Support mail that a mail server files as spam is now picked up too, so a genuine message can no longer go unseen.
v2.3

Enterprise SSO, SCIM & Submission Firewall

  • Single sign-on (OIDC and SAML) so enterprise teams log in through their own identity provider.
  • SCIM 2.0 endpoint for automatic user provisioning and deprovisioning from Okta, Azure AD and Entra.
  • Submission Firewall: per-form rate limits and one-click blocking of disposable / temporary-email addresses.
v2.2

Field validation, Delivery Center & passkeys

  • Server-side field validation: required, length, number-range, pattern and email-format rules enforced at ingestion.
  • Delivery Center: one timeline per submission for email, webhook, Google Sheets, Baserow and SMS - with one-click webhook replay.
  • Passkey (WebAuthn) sign-in alongside passwords and two-factor authentication.
v2.1

EU-native integrations

  • Sync submissions to Baserow (EU-hosted) or Google Sheets, in addition to outbound webhooks.
  • SMS notifications via 46elks (Sweden) on new submissions.
  • Official WordPress plugin and n8n community node, plus a unified cross-form inbox.
v2.0

Hosted forms v2 & white-label

  • Richer hosted forms: more field types, conditional logic, ratings and file uploads.
  • White-label hosted pages on Business, with custom accent colours and your own short links.
  • Anonymous-response mode that stores no IP linkage for sensitive forms.
v1.6

Hosted form pages

  • Publish a shareable public form at formward.eu/s/your-slug, with no website needed.
  • Customise the title, description, fields, and success message from your form settings.
  • Works on every plan and counts against your normal monthly submission quota.
  • Paid plans can choose a custom link; free plans get an automatic short link.
  • Submissions run the same EU pipeline and spam filtering, and land in your dashboard.

Formbutton: pop-up contact forms

  • Drop one script tag on any site for a floating button that opens a contact form.
  • Four button styles (pill, circle, side tab, bar) and your own colour, with auto-contrast text.
  • A compact pop-up panel that sits in the corner without covering the page.
  • A live builder at formward.eu/formbutton/builder generates the embed snippet for you.
v1.5

Multi-tier plans & yearly billing

  • New Personal, Professional, and Business tiers replace the single paid plan.
  • Choose monthly or yearly billing. Yearly saves up to a third per month.
  • Self-serve plan switching and proration through the Stripe customer portal.
v1.4

AI enrichment for Pro plans

  • Automatic spam scoring on every submission, powered by Mistral AI in the EU.
  • Auto-summary condenses long messages into a one-line overview in your inbox.
  • Lead scoring ranks inbound submissions so you can triage the hot ones first.
  • AI routing forwards submissions to the right recipient based on content.
v1.3

Multiple recipients & autoresponder

  • Send submission notifications to several email addresses per form.
  • Configure a branded autoresponder so submitters get an instant reply.
  • Per-form custom from-address support for autoresponders.
v1.2

Cloudflare Turnstile integration

  • Drop-in Turnstile support blocks bots without Google reCAPTCHA.
  • Privacy-preserving challenge, with no third-party tracking of your visitors.
  • Optional per-form toggle alongside the built-in honeypot and rate limiting.
v1.1

CSV export & data portability

  • Export any form's submissions to CSV from the dashboard in one click.
  • Exports include all custom fields plus received-at timestamps.
  • Supports GDPR data-portability requests out of the box.
v1.0

Email verification & general availability

  • Account email verification with secure one-time links.
  • Recipient email verification before notifications are enabled.
  • Formward leaves beta and is now generally available across the EU.
v0.9

Public beta & Stripe billing

  • Open public beta: anyone can sign up and create forms.
  • Stripe-powered subscriptions with self-serve upgrade and cancel.
  • Usage metering with monthly submission limits per plan.
v0.6

Submissions dashboard

  • Searchable, sortable submissions view with per-form filtering.
  • Volume, source, and spam-rate at a glance on each form.
  • Mark submissions as read and archive resolved threads.
v0.4

Spam filtering & rate limiting

  • Built-in honeypot field blocks naive bots automatically.
  • Rate limiting keyed on hashed IPs, so raw addresses are never stored.
  • Configurable per-form notification recipients.
v0.2

Closed beta

  • First invited teams onboarded to test real-world form traffic.
  • Email notifications on every accepted submission.
  • EU-only storage confirmed across all sub-processors.
v0.1

Initial release

  • First Formward endpoint: point an HTML form at a URL and collect POSTs.
  • Submissions stored on Swedish-hosted Postgres from day one.
  • Private alpha for the founding team and a handful of early sites.
