Guides
Add a contact form to any website builder
14 platform guides, one pattern: paste a plain HTML form, point its action at your Formward endpoint, send one test message. Submissions are stored in Sweden and emailed to you, so the platform never needs a mail plugin, a server or an API key in the page. Writing components in React, Next.js, Vue, Angular or another framework? See the framework examples.
What every guide covers
1. Create the endpoint
Sign up, create a form, copy its endpoint URL. The free plan includes 50 submissions a month and the same baseline spam filtering as paid plans (honeypot, rate limiting, Turnstile); AI spam scoring is Professional and up.
2. Paste the form
On platforms that accept custom HTML, the guide shows exactly where it goes (embed block, theme file or partial), with the honeypot field already in place. On platforms that block custom HTML, such as GitBook, the guide uses a hosted Formward form instead and shows how to link or button to it.
3. Test and go live
Send a test message, check the notification email and the dashboard, then set a thank-you page or an in-page success message.
Site builders
Hosted builders with an HTML or embed block. You paste the form into that block and set its action; no code export, no plugin, no build.
Framer
Framer contact form with an EU backend
Add a contact form to a Framer site with an Embed element that posts to Formward. Submissions are stored in Sweden and emailed to you.
4 steps · Read guide →Webflow

Send Webflow form submissions to Formward with an Embed element, so they are stored in Sweden rather than in Webflow. Code and steps.
3 steps · Read guide →Squarespace

4 steps · Read guide →Content management systems
Self-hosted or managed CMSs where the form lives in a theme file, a code injection slot or a page block. WordPress works with or without a plugin.
WordPress
WordPress contact form without a plugin
Add a contact form to WordPress with a Custom HTML block, no forms plugin and no form data in your database. Submissions are stored in Sweden.
4 steps · Read guide →Ghost
Ghost contact form without a backend
Ghost has no built-in contact form. Add one with an HTML card that posts to Formward, plus an optional fetch script or a site-wide contact button.
5 steps · Read guide →GitBook
GitBook feedback form without a backend
GitBook cannot embed custom HTML forms, so link to one. Publish a Formward hosted feedback form and add it to your docs as a button or link.
4 steps · Read guide →Static site generators
Markdown-driven sites with no server at all. The form is a plain HTML partial in the repository and posts straight to Formward from the built page.
Hugo
Hugo contact form without a backend
Add a contact form to a Hugo site with a shortcode and an endpoint in hugo.toml. Plain HTML posting to Formward, no server or function.
4 steps · Read guide →Jekyll
Jekyll contact form without a backend
A Jekyll contact form that works on GitHub Pages: a reusable Liquid include, the endpoint in _config.yml and a thanks page. No plugin or server.
4 steps · Read guide →Eleventy
Eleventy contact form without a backend
An Eleventy (11ty) contact form: endpoint in a global data file, a Nunjucks include and a thanks page. Plain HTML posting to Formward, no plugin.

A Gatsby contact form with no functions or server: a React component that posts to Formward with fetch and works on a static build.
4 steps · Read guide →Docusaurus

- My platform is not listed
- If it lets you place raw HTML anywhere, the plain HTML example is the whole integration. If it only allows a script tag, use Formbutton, a floating contact button that needs one line.
- Does the platform see the submissions?
- No. The visitor's browser posts directly to Formward, so the builder or CMS never handles the message, and the guides need no platform API keys. Your platform plan only matters where it gates custom HTML: for example Squarespace renders Code Blocks on its Business plan and above.
- Spam, file uploads and redirects
- Every snippet ships with the _gotcha honeypot and rate limiting runs on our side; disposable-address blocking is a switch in the form's settings. Set a _redirect field for a thank-you page on your own site. File uploads need the Professional plan; see the field reference.
