Where Formward can send your submissions

Short answer: Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Mattermost, Google Sheets, Baserow, SMS, n8n, any URL via webhooks, a REST API, and scheduled CSV exports. Each one is listed below with the plan it needs and - the part most integration pages leave out - where that destination actually stores your data.

That last detail matters more than it looks. Formward stores and processes submissions in the EU/EEA, but an integration is an instruction from you to send a copy somewhere else. If that somewhere sits outside the EU, the transfer is yours to assess as controller - better known before you switch it on than after. Your data-flow page lists the destinations each of your forms is using right now.

Chat and notifications

Each of these is a webhook with native message formatting, not a raw JSON dump - the message arrives readable, with the submission fields laid out.

  • Slack

    USProfessional

Posts each submission into a channel, formatted as a Slack message.

Slack is a US service. Sending there is a transfer you choose as controller.

  • Discord

    USProfessional

Posts each submission into a Discord channel via an incoming webhook.

    Discord is a US service.

  • Microsoft Teams

    USProfessional

Posts each submission into a Teams channel as a formatted message.

Where a Teams message ends up depends on your own Microsoft 365 tenant region.

  • Mattermost

    Your choiceProfessional

Posts each submission into a Mattermost channel.

Mattermost is commonly self-hosted - run it in the EU and this destination stays in the EU.

  • SMS alerts

    EUOn request

A text message for the submissions you cannot afford to miss. Operator-enabled - ask us to switch it on for your form.

Sent via 46elks, a Swedish provider.

Spreadsheets and databases

Append every submission to a sheet or table. The two options differ mainly in where the data ends up, which is worth a moment of thought.

  • Baserow

    EUProfessional

Appends each submission as a row in a Baserow table - an open-source Airtable alternative.

Baserow hosts in Germany and can also be self-hosted. This is the EU-resident option: if you want a spreadsheet workflow without leaving the EU, use this one rather than Sheets.

  • Google Sheets

    USProfessional

Appends each submission as a row in a Google spreadsheet.

Google is a US service, so enabling this sends a copy of every submission to the United States. That transfer is yours to assess as controller.

Automation and code

For anything not listed above, the generic paths cover it.

  • Outbound webhooks

    Your choiceProfessional

POST every processed submission to any URL. Signed, retried, with a delivery log and one-click replay. Several endpoints per form.

Wherever you point it. Point it at EU infrastructure and it stays in the EU.

  • REST API

    Your choiceProfessional

Read submissions programmatically with an API key, and build your own sync.

You pull the data, so it goes wherever your code runs.

  • n8n

    Your choiceProfessional

A community node for n8n, the open-source automation tool, usable as a trigger for any workflow.

n8n can be self-hosted, so an EU-only automation chain is achievable end to end.

  • Scheduled exports

    Your choiceBusiness

A CSV of new submissions, emailed daily, weekly or monthly.

Delivered to whichever mailbox you nominate.

  • CSV export

    Your choicePersonal

    Download submissions on demand, filtered.

Downloaded by you, to your own machine.

Email

On by default. The destination is your mailbox, which is worth being deliberate about.

  • Notification email

    Your choiceFree

Every submission emailed to you as it arrives, or batched into a digest.

We send from EU infrastructure, but where it lands depends on who hosts the mailbox - a Gmail or Outlook address means a US provider.

  • Multiple recipients

    Your choicePersonal

Send each submission to several verified addresses.

    As above, per recipient.

  • Autoresponder

    Your choiceProfessional

An automatic reply to whoever filled in the form, able to include fields from their submission.

The recipient is chosen by the person filling in the form, so this destination can be anywhere.

  • White-label sending domain

    EUBusiness

Notifications sent from your own verified domain, with DKIM and SPF.

Still sent through our EU email provider.

What we do not have yet

There is no native Zapier or Make app, and no built-in CRM connectors. If you need one of those today, a webhook into Webhooks by Zapier or Make's custom webhook trigger works, and the REST API covers the rest. We would rather say so here than let you discover it after signing up.
